Aarhus, Denmark – June 26, 2025 – Stibo DX, a global leader in digital transformation solutions for the media industry, today announced its annual results for the financial year 2024/25, alongside a bold new investment initiative that positions the company for long-term growth and innovation.

Despite a challenging and rapidly evolving media landscape, Stibo DX delivered resilient results during a strategic investment year. Total revenue reached DKK 222 million, representing a 5% year-over-year decline driven by the company’s continued transition from traditional perpetual licensing to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. However, SaaS revenue increased by 16%, and recurring revenue rose 5%, underscoring the strength and stickiness of the company’s evolving business model. Order intake reached an all-time high of DKK 107 million, contributing to a CAGR since 2023 of 29%.

Stibo DX reported an expected EBITDA loss of DKK 35.2 million, aligned with its proactive strategy to invest heavily in transformation. Key expenditures included the establishment of a new nearshore development center in Spain, expanded customer success and service delivery teams, and an innovation budget exceeding 23% of revenue.

“In a year marked by accelerating industry transformation, we remain focused on building the future of media,” said Lars Bjørn Falkenberg, CEO of Stibo DX. “Our platform and organization are now strategically positioned to support the convergence of newsrooms, the rise of multimedia hybrid publishing, and the demand for scalable, AI-powered storytelling.”

Growth Milestones and Market Expansion

  • New contracts increased by 9% year-over-year, totaling DKK 107 million in contract value, contributing to a CAGR since 2023 of 29%.
  • The CUE Media Enterprise Platform continued to expand its global user base, with several new media brands onboard.
  • A major new contract in Japan marked the company’s entry into a key strategic market.
  • Newly introduced products already contribute significantly to new contract revenue.

Announcing “Summerbird”: A Multi-Year Investment in the Future

To accelerate innovation and support its global media customers through digital transformation, Stibo DX has launched “Summerbird” — an extraordinary investment initiative totaling a double-digit million EUR sum, running from May 2025 to April 2027.

Key focus areas of the initiative include:

  • Enhanced platform performance across PaaS, SaaS, and on-premise.
  • New capabilities for AI-supported storytelling and collaboration in converged newsrooms.
  • Improved customer experience and expanded service and support for scalable, cloud-native operations.
  • The company will expand its global workforce by 22% in 2025 to support the initiative.

Looking Ahead

For FY 2025/26, Stibo DX forecasts 10–13% revenue growth and an EBITDA loss of DKK 60–70 million, reflecting ongoing investments in innovation and transformation. The company remains confident in the long-term strength of its platform, its commitment to operational excellence, and its role as a trusted partner in media evolution.

“Our focus is clear,” Falkenberg added. “We are building the definitive media enterprise platform for the future — one that enables storytelling, scalability, and sustainability for the world’s most ambitious media brands.”
